'2d Data Plotter' is a simple graph plotting android app which can be used to plot graphs of your experimental or theoretical 2-dimensional X-Y data very easily using your mobile phone or tablet.
You may learn how to calculate smallest scale divisions for a graph grid. You may get guidance on how to mark a data point on a graph grid. You may perform additional tasks like evaluating a function of known values obtained from experiment. You may do all this and more using a simple and very friendly user-interface.
You may change the axes ranges to observe a particular portion of the graph in greater detail. Provision for using automatically calculated axes ranges has also been made. You may label the axes, insert a graph caption as also text and arrow annotations.
Snapshots of the whole or any select portion of the graph and also of the data may be taken from within the app itself and saved to the device memory.
Linear curve fitting of the plotted data may be carried out. Other non-linear curve fitting techniques are available in the full version, a.k.a. 'Lab Plot n Fit' app by the same authors. With the full version, you may also plot up to five sets of normal X-Y data, one X versus many Y type data and time-series data, simultaneously on the same device screen. You may use semi log and log-log scales for your graph grid. You may import the data stored in a file in a variety of formats. You may perform curve fitting using common functions, as well as by using any custom user-defined function. You may perform interpolation and draw moving average trendlines. You may save and export your data and graph images to files in different formats. You may share all the results with others using WhatsApp and Email. You may perform additional tasks like performing calculations for a vernier caliper or a screw gauge in order to measure very small widths. And more.
For simple tasks though, '2d Data Plotter' should prove adequate. It should be extremely useful, not only to students of all ages and disciplines in schools and colleges, but also to anyone wanting to check quickly the behavior of theoretical or experimental data.
The app has been made available in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Bengali and Hindi languages.
