Badger Link is designed to support health care professionals looking after women, newborns, and children in the logistics of communication, networks, units, and teams.
Looking after women and children can provide logistical challenges on several levels. Concerns around planning, communication, and ensuring the best possible care is provided at all times can sometimes be reliant on paper diaries, texts, and notes.
Badger Link has been designed to ensure that the link between clinical systems, personal health records, and those supporting and providing care is created, reducing the risk of information being missed.
The focus is on user profiles and communication within teams. Teams are created within the clinical care records used at hospitals and visible within the application. By providing a secure channel for clinical teams to communicate, this lifts the risk of information to go awry and also protects the clinical users from using private messaging tools which may create an unwanted overlap with personal information.
The user profile will be used within Badger Link itself to identify the team members, but also be available to be sent to the clinical applications and personal health records to ensure that women, families, and all those working with teams are supported in the continuity of care model promoted internationally in women and children’s health.
