With this app you can transliterate text to and from Cyrillic based on a romanization scheme (GOST 16876-71 / ISO-9) or phonemic translation. So this app translates ONLY SOUNDS AND LETTERS OF A WORD!
It is also a source for historic information on the evolution of the Cyrillic alphabet through Early Cyrillic and Glagolitic. It also the Cyrillic cursive font.
Premium users can install a keyboard to quickly toggle between Cyrillic and Latin writing, either:
• QWERTY with Cyrillized suggestions
• ЙЦУКЕН with Latinized suggestions
Supports the following Slavic alphabets for transliteration:
• Modern Russian alphabet
• Russian alphabet before 1917 (for premium users)
• Russian alphabet before 1750 (for premium users)
• Serbian (for premium users)
• Ukranian (for premium users)
• Glagolitic (Ⰳⰾⰰⰳⱁⰾⰹⱌⰰ / Glagolitsa; for premium users)
Supported transliteration schemes for romanization are:
• Scientific transliteration (ISO-9)
• GOST 16876-71
Recent changes:
- Add dictionaries for Russian, Ukrainian, Serbo-Croatian
- Enabled Ukrainian and Serbo-Croatian again
- Allow writing characters separate by adding a dot in between (yo=ё, but y.o=ыо)
- Add more shortcuts in a new romanization method called 'ergonomic romanization'. For example: 'jo' and 'yo' both map to 'ё'.
