Send and Request Money (P2P)
ePlata users may send money to or request money from other users free of charge. All transfers are executed instantaneously.
Cross-Border Money Transfers
ePlata users may send funds to family and friends instantly between the United States and Mexico with $0 in transfer fees (limited FX currency conversion costs apply).
Real-Time Currency Conversion
ePlata users may convert currency at any moment, whether prior to sending money to family and/or friends, paying a bill or simply creating a balance of multiple denominations. ePlata users may hold funds in multiple currencies, including: U.S. Dollar, Mexican Peso, Euro, Canadian Dollar, British Pound and more.
Get a Linked ePlata Visa Debit Card
ePlata users are eligible for the ePlata debit card which is linked directly to a user’s ePlata account and can be used anywhere that Visa is accepted.
Pay Bills
ePlata users may pay bills immediately to a wide variety of essential service providers, including: utilities (gas, electric, water) and cable television. ePlata users can even make bill payments on behalf of their family and/or friends living in another country.
Reload Phones*
ePlata users may "top-up" their mobile phone plans with the leading carriers in that country. Like the bill pay option, ePlata users can make plan payments on behalf of their family and/or friends living in another country.
Secondary Sub-Accounts
ePlata users can create secondary sub-accounts within their main ePlata user account that can be used to separate funds for special purposes.
