Farmology is an Agtech startup working on the mission to “Create farmers of future” in India by supporting farmers in their entire journey with quick solutions right in their hands.
Farmology turns your Android phone into a mobile crop clinic where you can accurately detect pests and diseases on crops, get your soil tested, Home delivery of patented Agri-inputs and monitor your crop's performance throughout the season for maximum productivity. It is available in 3 languages.
How it works:
Farmers can download the app and login with their mobile number with an OTP. Farmers can choose their preferred language, crops they farm regularly, up to 4 crops can be selected at once.
Buy Inputs: Farmers can buy inputs (organic fertilizers, pesticides, micronutrients) directly from the app at best prices. Inputs are recommended to farmers based on the crops they choose which makes it easier for them to choose & order. Payment is easy with multiple payment options available in the app.
Crop Doctor: The farmers must click a clear photo of the issue they are facing in their plant/crop and get a diagnosis and product recommendation in less than a minute or farmers can choose the crop from the drop-down menu and choose/write their own question to get answers from our experts. The farmers will also get an SMS and a call.
Soil Test: Farmers can test the constituents of their farm soil by sending us a sample of their soil and know about the deficiencies with actionable insights. Reports are generated one day within we receive the soil sample.
Crop Health: farmers can go to their farm and geotag it with the app and get weekly reports about the crop's health, growth and water content. The report also gives insights about possible pest or disease attack based on weather data (real time and historical) and actionables to prevent and treat these issues.
Community: Here, the farmers can ask the same question and get feedback from fellow farmers to answer their questions. Farmers can interact with each other regularly and provide solutions to similar problems faced by them.
Weather report: The app provides weather report of the farmer’s location and forecast of 5 days with 3 hourly updates. Farmers can easily find the best time to apply inputs as per the weather report.
Sell produce: Farmers can sell their produce by entering a few details about their crops along with photos with expected price and date of availability in the app. Our executive will contact the respective farmer to finalize the purchase at a price higher than the market.
Video & Blogs: Farmers can watch videos in the app in case of any doubt towards inputs or practices. They can also read blogs to better understand any product or practice to optimize their yield.
