Garissainfo is an online marketplace, local business directory and classifieds advertising company that helps users to buy, rent, sell anything in Garissa, Wajir and Mandera counties. It has categories such as real estate, household goods, vehicles, jobs, services, education, etc.
The Garissainfo app enables businesses, companies, N.G.O.s and individuals in the region and all over Kenya to list their products/services, contacts, location for easy connection with their customers.
The app is a classified platform for spreading information and running advertisements.
It's also a Local Business Directory, which makes it easier for customers to identify, locate and interact with a desired business.
We are also a multi-vender platform where businesses can set up digital stores on the app from which they'll sell their products and services.
This is an initiative to help businesses easily get found by their would-be clients looking for their products/services/location/contacts.
The Local Business Directory embedded in the app makes it easier for the general public to identify and locate the specific business they want to shop from, or interact with. The directory listing includes geo-location of the business/company which shall appear on Google maps and will show the client exact location of the business they are searching for.
The company was founded in Nairobi in 2010 by Mohamed Major as a Facebook page posting advertisements for individuals and businesses selling products and services. Over the years it has slowly transitioned to a fully-fledged business with offices in Garissa and Wajir.
In 2022, we changed our brand identity to reflect who we are - dynamic, flexible and ready to adapt to the spirit of the contemporary North Eastern audience by launching a mobile app on both Google Playstore and IOS, a revolutionary and innovative experience that instantly changed the way business is conducted.
