Hodgepodge Hunch is a hidden identity game where everyone works together to create a hotpot dish. Visit dungeons with your fellow chefs and collect exotic ingredients to cook the most delectable hotpot. But beware - not everyone is as they seem. A spy lurks among you, aiming to ruin your culinary masterpiece. Can you separate the chefs from the impostors? Unravel the mystery, and strive for the ultimate hotpot feast!
Game Rules:
Players are divided into one of two groups: the Chefs and the Spies. Each group works to fulfill certain conditions to win. The Chefs' goal is to cook a delicious hotpot, venturing into dungeons to collect ingredients and charms that, when combined, have the potential to generate high scores. Chefs can also ban other players from adding ingredients to protect the final product. The Spy's job is to thwart the Chef's efforts. Certain ingredients must be kept out of the pot or the dish will turn into a dreaded Hodgepodge. The Spy's goal is to sneak these forbidden ingredients into the pot without arousing the Chef's suspicions. The Spy can also spread false rumors to make the Chefs suspicious of each other.
Bots and Solo Mode:
Hodgepodge Hunch features bot players that can join in the game, so no need to worry about having enough players—an all-too-common issue with social deduction games. Bot players even appear in the Tutorials and Solo Mode, allowing those new to the genre to practice by themselves at their own pace.
Plot:
After an unexpected turn of events, former hero Kassarol finds herself working a new job at a hotpot shop, vying for victory in Hotpot Fest—a festival where participants flaunt their hotpot-preparation prowess. However, when honing her cooking skills alongside her fellow chefs, Kassarol discovers that their precious hotpot has been transformed into a dreaded Hodgepodge.
Could there be a traitor among them?
The staff members start to grow suspicious of one another, but their shop is simultaneously invaded by demons, stalkers, and all sorts of assassins. Is there truly a Spy? If so, then who? And more importantly—can they still win the Hotpot Fest?
Embark on a culinary mystery shrouded in the shadows of deception.
Spectator & Photos:
With Hodgepodge Hunch's unique spectator feature, even those not playing can comment and contribute to the pot. But here's the twist: not just in-game ingredients – players can also add their own photos as ingredients! Such mechanics offer various playstyles, like a streamer crafting bizarre hotpots with their chat!
Recent changes:
- Fixed Rock Glass activating for non-Mysterious Fin ingredients
- Fixed can badges from last pot bonus drinks not counting for Infinite Collection
- Fixed Nobles and Stalkers effects not resolving with visible Ninja
- Fixed CPU finding Mysterious Fin in ruins
- Fixed Sake Cup and Masu drawbacks doubling under Hundred Medicines Curse
