Military Strategy Book is an application that contains a collection of basic theories of military strategy in the world. Military strategy is a set of ideas applied by military organizations to pursue desired strategic objectives. Derived from the Greek strategos, the term strategy, when it appeared in use during the 18th century, was seen in its narrow sense as "the art of generals," or the "art of regulating" troops. Military strategy deals with the planning and execution of campaigns, the movements and dispositions of force, and the deception of the enemy.
The father of modern Western strategic studies, Carl von Clausewitz (1780-1831), defined military strategy as "the use of combat to gain the end of war." [Citation needed] BH Liddell Hart's definition put less emphasis on combat, defining strategy as "the art of distributing and implementing military means to meet policy objectives". Therefore, both of them prioritize political goals rather than military objectives.
