Permissions:

Notification Access: Now Playing History needs permissions for notification access. This is required for song detection. Other than the artist and song title, for the purpose of downloading cover art, no information is ever transmitted from the device or shared.

Location: Location permission is optional. By giving Now Playing History location permissions, the location of each song can be saved and shown in the app. To provide this benefit, the application may need to access your location in the background. Your location is stored on the device, and is not shared, with anyone, for any reason.

Files & Media (Android 12 and prior): Optionally grant file permissions to be able to save and restore manual backups of your song history.
