Open beta test
The app is currently in beta testing.
Per in-app purchase for only € 2.39 in the Google Play Store or Amazon Appstore will permanently use the app for the unlimited Receiving messages on the Android TV or the Amazon Fire TV unlocked. Without this activation, the reception is limited to a maximum of 15 messages.
Please keep in mind that this is a pre-production version which may still have limitations or errors and may not work on all Android TV or Amazon Fire TV devices. I own a Sony TV A11 and an Amazon Fire TV. The app has been extensively tested on these devices.
Promo codes for feedback in Google Playstore
During the beta test phase I am interested at every feedback. If you want to try the app, you can email me at [email protected] and I will send you a promo code for free and permanent use.
Current limitations of PushTV
PushTV is constantly evolving. Missing features or improvements will be submitted by update. Here is the list of not ready to implement features:
Display attachments as picture (attachment Tag)
url and url_title tags are not supported. This only makes sense if you want to start a browser directly to the url on the TV.
Messages with Priority 2 and set retry and expire tags are currently not supported. This type of messages must be acknowledged by the user.
Two-factor authorization to pushover.net is currently not possible.
Pushover license
For using the Pushover service you have to purchase a license for $4.99 USD directly here from pushover. The first 7 days to test the service are free. This acquired Desktop license can also be used for other devices like Windows Browser or macOS Safari. Please inform yourself on the websites of Pushover.
Important notes
Pushover is independent of this app and is available for iOS devices and Android mobiles or tablets. I have no business relationship or other connection to the service Pushover.
Pushover is a trademark and product of Superblock, LLC.
Recent changes:
Fully redesigned.
Changeover to the new framework.
New WebSocket Client Handler for more stability.
Experimental support for attachments. A desktop license from pushover.net is required.
