Sales include total sales amount from the marketplace, then deduct marketplace fees, sales tax, and shipping amount to give the payout amount.
Expenses are total receipt values. Instead of keeping track of individual item costs, you only need the total receipt value of the purchase. For example, several goods purchased at a single thrift store is one expense. Then that expense amount is calculated against the month and year of the purchase. No need to transfer over expenses year to year.
