Resistor calculator tries to help electronic engineers, students and electronic hobbyists by speedup calculations and provide more information in 4 segments: resistor color code calculator- SMD Resistor- resistor circuit Calculators- LED Resistor Calculator
❇️Resistor Color Code Calculator
🔸The first band represents the first digit of the resistance value in 4-band resistor, 5-band resistor and 6-band resistor.
🔸The second band represents the second digit of the resistance value in 4-band resistor, 5-band resistor and 6-band resistor.
🔸The third band represents the multiplication factor of the resistance value in in 4-band resistor and resistance value in 5-band resistor, 6-band resistor.
🔸The fourth band represents the tolerance in percentage of the resistance value in 4-band resistor and the multiplication factor in 5-band resistor, 6-band resistor.
🔸The fifth band represents the tolerance in percentage of the resistance value in 5-band resistor and 6-band resistor.
🔸The sixth band represents the temperature coefficient of the resistance value in 6-band resistor.
❇️SMD Resistor
The application is an easy-to-use SMD code calculator for calculating the resistance of a resistor and SMD Package.
🔸The 3-digit code
Standard-tolerance SMD resistors are marked with a simple 3-digit code. The first two numbers will indicate the significant digits, and the third will be the multiplier, telling you the power of ten to which the two significant digits must be multiplied. Resistances of less than 10 ohms do not have a multiplier, the letter 'R' is used instead to indicate the position of the decimal point.
🔸The 4-digit code
The 4-digit code is used for marking precision surface mount resistors. the first three numbers will tell us the significant digits, and the fourth will be the multiplier, indicating the power of ten to which the three significant digits must be multiplied. Resistances of less than 100 ohms are marked with the help of the letter 'R', indicating the position of the decimal point.
🔸EIA-96
A new coding system (EIA-96) has appeared on 1% SMD resistors. It consists of a three character code: the first 2 numbers will tell us the 3 significant digits of the resistor value and the third marking will indicate the multiplier.
🔸SMD Package
To find out the approximative power rating of your SMD resistor, measure its length and width. A few commonly used package dimensions with the corresponding typical power ratings are presented in the table.
❇️Resistor circuit Calculators
Resistors are electronic components which have a specific, never-changing electrical resistance. The resistor's resistance limits the flow of electrons through a circuit. Resistors are paired together all the time in electronics, usually in either a series or parallel, also in delta, star and pi and T connections.
❇️LED Resistor Calculator
An LED (Light Emitting Diode) emits light when an electric current passes through it. The simplest circuit to power an LED is a voltage source with a resistor and an LED in series. Such a resistor is often called a ballast resistor. The ballast resistor is used to limit the current through the LED and to prevent that it burns. If the voltage source is equal to the voltage drop of the LED, no resistor is required. The resistance of the ballast resistor is easy to calculate with Ohm’s law. Resistor calculator, calculate resistance of the ballast for you and help you to have more Information about LED‘s.
