Recording an expense takes just about 3 seconds, so you can whip out your phone while the cashier rings you up, type in the total, and forget about it forever. The home screen keeps you up to date with how much money you have left to spend along with a progress bar to provide a visualization of the percent left.
Tip: Don't include fixed costs like rent, insurance, and utilities in your budget. Starting the month with 40% of your budget already gone doesn't make anyone happy. Subtract all those costs from your real budget and then use that new number as a starting point in this app.
