Get ready to rumble!
This two-player battle is a digital twist on the classic Thumb War game. Your goal is to defeat your opponent by depleting their health before they can do the same to you.
The game features three distinct modes that test your strength, agility, and focus.
Forcing your opponent’s thumbprint into the barbed wire arena inflicts damage, as do certain events, such as making an incorrect choice in the Focus game mode.
Strength Mode
Strength mode is all about brute force. Minimal skill is required; your goal is to push your opponent’s thumbprint into the barbed wire surrounding the arena while avoiding it yourself. If a player touches the barbed wire and gets injured, both players reset to their starting positions. The winner is the player who outlasts their opponent by depleting their opponent’s health completely.
Agility Mode
Agility mode follows similar rules to Strength mode but introduces the added challenge of thumb locks. These locks are triggered in three scenarios: after damage when thumbprints are reset, when a player’s thumb leaves their thumbprint, and at random intervals during the Thumb War. Players must act quickly to unlock their thumbs first to maintain the advantage!
Focus Mode
Focus mode builds on the rules of the previous two modes but adds a psychological twist: the Stroop Test. This test, commonly used in clinical settings, measures the delay in reaction time between congruent and incongruent stimuli. In Focus mode, when a player’s thumbs are locked, they must solve the Stroop Test to unlock them.
To complete the Stroop Test:
* Match the color bar to the actual physical color of the word, ignoring what the word spells.
* If no match exists, match the color bar to the color the word spells instead of its physical color.
The player who solves their Stroop Tests the fastest gains a significant advantage in the war!
