App features include:
1) A Flight Computer.
This indicates altitude AMSL and AGL, ground speed, bearing, climb/sink rate, glide angle, G-force, wind direction, flight duration and distance from take-off.
Barometric pressure can be obtained either from an internal sensor or via a Bluetooth vario.
2) A list of pilots.
Showing aircraft type (or photo), relative direction, tracker type and status messages. Contacts permission is requested if the integrated contact features are used.
3) A Google map.
Showing other pilots, retrieve buses, airspace, way-points, thermal hot-spots, flight trails plus safety and retrieve messages.
4) A Navigation tool to manage waypoints and tasks.
5) A Thermal assistant widget on the map.
6) Rain radar and cloud cover widget.
7) Competition race tasks.
Tasks are fully compatible with the PG-Race.aero service. Camera permission is requested when scanning QR codes, for easy task sharing with other Apps.
Audible alerts can be set for 'SOS' and 'Retrieve' messages, airspace proximity, and FANET messages.
Flights are logged as IGC and KML files, and can be replayed.
IGC flight logs made by XC Guide are accepted by FAI/CIVL for Cat1 events and are verified by their online validation service. They are also accepted by XContest.
Detailed help, in several languages, is included in the App.
